This Privacy Policy explains how Soldout Africa collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects your personal information when you access or use our Platform. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

Unless you expressly opt out, Soldout Africa may use the personal information we collect to market and promote events, products and services to you, and to promote the Platform. This includes sending you promotional emails, SMS messages, push notifications and in-app messages, tailoring the events and content we show you, and using your information to build audiences for advertising on the Platform and on third-party platforms such as social media and search networks.

We may also feature user-generated content, testimonials, reviews, and photographs or video in which you appear in our marketing materials and on our social media channels, in accordance with section 10 below.

You can opt out of marketing at any time by:

• clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email;
• replying with the stated opt-out keyword to any marketing SMS;
• updating your communication preferences in your account settings; or
• emailing info@soldoutafrica.com with your request.

Opting out takes effect within a reasonable period after we receive your request and does not apply to transactional or service communications — such as booking confirmations, tickets, receipts, security alerts, and changes to our terms or policies — which we will continue to send you while you hold an account or a ticket.

Unless the event organiser expressly states otherwise for a particular event, by attending an event listed on the Platform you acknowledge that photographs, video, audio and other recordings may be taken at the event in which you may appear, and you grant the event organiser (and Soldout Africa, where we are supporting the event) the right to record, use, reproduce, edit, publish and distribute that material on the organiser's social media channels and other marketing, promotional and editorial channels, worldwide and without further notice, approval or compensation to you.

This applies to any person for whom you purchase a ticket or whom you accompany to the event, and you confirm that you are authorised to grant this right on their behalf.

If you do not wish to appear in such material, please raise this with the event organiser or event staff before or at the event. Requests to remove material that has already been published are a matter for the event organiser, and Soldout Africa is not responsible for media captured, used or published by an event organiser, another attendee, or any other third party.

Soldout Africa implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child without appropriate parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or applications. Soldout Africa is not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our Platform.
